Background
AllTest Biotech Co Ltd, a Chinese company based at Hangzhou, develops and manufactures Rapid Diagnostic Tests (RDT) using lateral flow technology
Challenges
AllTest requested BIOASTER to be a partner for the diagnostic performance evaluation of their SARS-CoV-2 antigenic rapid test prototypes using saliva samples.
Solution
BIOASTER has setup and manage the clinical network to get access to clinical specimens through a multicenter study and has carried out assay evaluation
Results
This study allowed to optimize the workflow from sample collection and storage to test result. Strong correlation between RDT and molecular reference results has been shown confirming accuracy of the tests.
Outlook
This successful collaboration permitted to BIOASTER to pursue the partnership with AllTest Biotech Co Ltd in other medical applications
