New publication in Vaccine May 2018, based on an innovative platform on nanoparticles.
The Protein & Expression system engineering Unit has developed a new nanoparticle carrier system that enables simultaneous epitope surface display and heterologous protein loading (patent WO2017182760 A1). Immunogenicity studies revealed antibody responses against both the surface epitope and the loaded cargo protein. This display system is a versatile tool for rational vaccine design and paves the way for new applications in the fields of vaccine and antimicrobial research.
